Forage is a place to create. We offer a full commercial grade kitchen for people looking to develop and produce food for their business or creative endeavors. We also offer the ability to host a "pop-up" temporary restaurant. Forage is a place to educate. Here you can use our kitchen and spacious dining area to hold workshops and classes of all kinds. Use our shared kitchen to cook ... whatever!

Forage is designed for food entrepreneurs interested in wholesale food production for retail outlets and Farmers Markets, as well as budding cooks and chefs looking for next level equipment and facilities. We offer low cost entry into a commercial kitchen, complete with most or all of the necessary gear. Forage also gives you access to a community of other food entrepreneurs.

To ask questions or schedule kitchen time, email us, Facebook message us, or use our online form. We’ll answer your questions, then set up a time to meet, tour the space, and discuss details like timing and billing (eventually we’ll sign a contract together).

THE SHARED KITCHEN
(aka our ‘Kitchen Incubator’)

We strive to offer you a clean, well-organized space to cook without the notoriously huge expense of building a commercial kitchen. Depending on your needs we can point you in the right direction for licensing, and can handle the scheduling, marketing, accounting, and all the boring stuff that clutters up the path to actually creating food, sellable products, and new businesses. 

THE SPACE
(aka our dining room and event space)

We love watching people enter Forage for the very first time. It’s so bright and airy, with views of the Eau Claire River. The space is fresh and tidy and ready for whatever you bring into it – from a hundred dinner guests, to a pop-up restaurant, to a simple idea yearning to flourish.

EDUCATE!

Teach or attend classes and workshops.

We built Forage with education in mind. Instructors reserve our kitchen and adjoining dining room to teach cooking classes, special seminars, meal prep workshops, and much more.   

But it’s not just food! Forage is also a perfect place for art classes, writing workshops, photography seminars, yoga nights, wine tastings, and many other great opportunities. Please contact us with your idea!

Where Forage Began

 

We launched Forage in February of 2014 during the fabulous Banbury ArtCrawl, where thousands of locals prowl around Banbury Place’s many art studios and unique businesses – one of the many reasons we’re proud to call this historic building our home. In the Fall of 2015, we expanded and re-opened (with a restaurant and beer/wine license in the mix) to offer a robust set of classes, events, and food experiences. 

The energy you find at Forage flows from the creative, hard-working people and organizations using our space – to cook up food and a whole lot more.

CELEBRATE!

Plan events and parties in our engaging space.

We’ve had great success throwing private parties, team building events, meetings of all sizes, weddings, baby and bridal showers, art openings, music performances, improv nights, fundraisers, and ... well, what else can you think of? 

Forage features 1200 sq. ft. of beautiful, open space. We offer tables, chairs, stools, dishes, cutlery, and serving pieces – as well as public bathrooms and elevator access. We can accommodate 150 guests for a cocktail/heavy appetizer event, and up to 90 guests comfortably seated with table service.
