Women Who Cook

Join Forage in a special Women's History Month Celebration!

This 4-course dinner with wine pairing features 4 local chefs and the female chef's who inspire them.

First course: Michelle Thiede former chef of Fox River Brewing Co., Appleton, WI, Family Farms Market in Eleva, and Mona Lisa's in Eau Claire.  Michelle is currently enjoying cooking with family and friends as a collaborative partner at Forage.  Her chef inspiration is Stephanie Izard, chef and owner of Girl and the Goat in Chicago.

Second course: This will focuses on simple family friendly vegan dishes.  As a busy working the chef understands the importance of a tasty home cooked meal.  She enjoys transforming classic comfort foods you grew up with into a vegan meal to remember.  Her chef inspiration is Dana Shultz,  The Minimalist Baker.

Third course: Amy Ann Huo, Executive Chef at The Informalist. Amy pursued an MA in English literature and lived overseas prior to entering the restaurant industry.  Since then she has been cooking farm-to-table in the Twin Cities and New York.  She now enjoys developing a 60-acre permaculture farm together with her husband, Ming.  Amy's chef inspiration is Dominique Crenn.

Fourth course by Layne Qualy, currently a cook at the Local Lounge.  Layne graduated from UW Steven's Point with a degree in nutrition. In her free time she dabbles in cupcake baking and drinking wine.  Layne's inspiration is Alice Waters.

Cost: $75 (includes dinner, wine, tax & tip)
