Join us on an anti-inflammatory culinary adventure! Your hosts Tammie & Sara have each experienced first hand the benefits of food as medicine, helping to heal chronic illness or pain. In this class you’ll learn some tips and tricks to simply cook for optimum wellness using cost-effective ingredients. We’ll also discuss gut health and how we can utilize nutrition to combat inflammation & disease to feel our best. Our meals in this class will be entirely plant based and gluten free. Relax with a drink and enjoy our two course meal with your new foodie friends!
For this class we will be making a light, nutrient rich two course meal perfect for spring. Main: kale salad with herb marinated tomatoes, roasted cauliflower & chickpeas, microgreens and wild rice balls with a homemade vegan ranch dressing. Dessert: no-bake plant based protein balls. We will also be serving a fun mocktail that will pair well with our belly friendly meal!
So many of us have been recently learning more about how what we eat can impact our health in significant ways. A lot of us are learning that things like dairy and gluten, for example, don’t agree with our bodies. There is a growing community of us out there that are searching for more inclusive dietary spaces where we can enjoy high quality, delicious food that aligns with our health and wellness goals.
Happy Belly Foodies is an inclusive food community in the Chippewa Valley where you can go for information, resources, and support around dietary needs no matter what you can or cannot eat. Our tenet requirements for each cooking experience are that the food is balanced, nutritious, welcoming, and unapologetically delicious.
Doors open at 5:30pm, class begins as 6pm.
